The Black Iron Training Method

Chris Kurisko has been very passionate about fitness from a young age and has spent his entire life developing his own personal training style. He has studied endlessly since he was a young boy. Tens of thousands of hours have been spent reading books, studying materials, sitting in classes and in seminars, and in the gym training. Most importantly, he has spent many years in trenches getting his clients results.  

 

Black Iron Training opened as a private training facility in 2011. Prior to opening Black Iron Chris worked as personal trainer for the YMCA for several years.  As a small gym owner and coach it was very important that he was able to retain and keep members.  He learned right away that results were all that mattered, so he has never stopped working to learn more about his craft and how to best deliver his training.  â€‹â€‹

 

Over the years, many amazing people have trained at Black Iron. Chris is very proud of them all and has learned a ton from everyone.  They motivate him to keep teaching and growing.

The Black Iron Method is pretty simple.  It is focused on helping people get strong by teaching them how to properly use basic barbell movements and progressing them appropriately. We help everyone get strong first and then help them where they need to go next. 

​

The Black Iron Method has helped athletes get more powerful, run faster, jump higher,, and build mass.  Many of our young athletes have gone on to be dominant in their sport and going on to play at higher levels.  

​

The Black Iron Method has also helped many people get started in powerlifting, olympic lifting, strongman, and CrossFit. Chris has coached many lifters who have set records and collected a lot of hardware.  

​

Finally, the Black Iron Method has helped plenty of people just improve their quality of life.  When a person get stronger a lot of positive things happen and the Black Iron approach has worked well for many people young and old.
